EHD2022 Awards: Sign up for our live judging webinars – 16 to 24 May

The official shortlist for the European Healthcare Design 2022 Awards has been revealed, following a hard-fought competition and intensive judging process.

Following last year’s hugely successful live judging format, we’re excited to announce live webinar presentations and judging of seven of the shortlisted categories on SALUS TV, ahead of the announcement of the winners at the closing ceremony of the European Healthcare Design 2022 Congress on 14 June. This offers delegates greater insight into the judging process and provides a valuable learning opportunity in advance of the Congress in June. undefined - undefined

Supported by lead sponsor IHP, the Awards celebrate and recognise professional excellence in the design of healthcare environments both in Europe and around the world. They captured the interest of architects, healthcare leaders, academic researchers and innovative solutions providers from all over the globe. The standard of entries received was extremely high, presenting the judges with the demanding task of whittling them down to a final shortlist. One category – Design Research – is outstanding and will be announced soon.

Comprising organisations and project teams in the running for nine awards across primary, community, secondary and tertiary levels of international healthcare provision and delivery, the shortlist is as follows (click on the live judging dates to book your place for each webinar):

The Winners’ Ceremony – 14 June, 17.00-17.45

The European Healthcare Design 2022 Awards are organised by Architects for Health and SALUS Global Knowledge Exchange, with the support of lead sponsor IHP, and category sponsors archipelago, Callison RTKL, Gerflor, Hoare Lea, and Medical Architecture.

The Awards will be presented on 14 June during the closing ceremony of the European Healthcare Design 2022 Congress & Exhibition, taking place in-person and virtually on 13-15 June (15 June is dedicated to study tours). Tickets for the Congress can be booked here.

It is intended that the Awards will contribute towards the development of knowledge and standards in the design of healthcare environments around the world.

The Awards evaluation committee features international researchers, practitioners and policy advisors, who bring specialist multidisciplinary expertise to the specific categories they have been invited to judge.

The shortlist and winner of each award are determined by a category chair, supported by two other judges with proven expertise in their field. This robust evaluation methodology ensures a balanced and transparent decision-making process.
