Health Care Without Harm (HCWH) Europe

Health Care Without Harm (HCWH) Europe is a non-profit European coalition of hospitals, healthcare systems, healthcare professionals, local authorities, research/academic institutions and environmental and health organisations. It currently has 142 members in 29 countries of the WHO European Region.

The organisation’s mission is to transform healthcare worldwide so that it reduces its environmental footprint, becomes a community anchor for sustainability and a leader in the global movement for environmental health and justice.
In doing so, we work with a wide range of stakeholders across our five main programme areas: Climate-smart Healthcare, Safer Chemicals, Safer Pharma, Sustainable Food, and Sustainable Procurement.
HCWH Europe also organises Europe’s leading conference on sustainable healthcare – CleanMed Europe – on a biannual basis. The 2020 conference will be held in Brussels, Belgium, from 1-3 December and will showcase cutting-edge practices in sustainable healthcare; it is the ideal venue for healthcare innovators to come together and share ideas, finding new ways to drive change within their organisations and communities.
