Terri Peters

Dr. Terri Peters is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Architectural Science at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada. She is a registered architect in the UK and holds a PhD in sustainable housing from Aarhus Architecture School in Denmark. Her research explores the social and human dimensions of green architecture. Her expertise is in sustainable design, digital design tools for environmental building simulation, and the adaptive re-use and renovation of Modern housing. She has published 20 peer reviewed journal articles and conference papers and is co-author of the book Computing the Environment: Digital Design Tools for Simulation and Visualisation of Sustainable Architecture (John Wiley and Sons, 2018). She guest-edited two issues of Architectural Design (AD) journal, one which maps workflows and tools in leading sustainability research teams in design practice (2011), and the most recent ‘Design for Health: Therapeutic Approaches to Sustainable Architecture’ (2017) which examines the intersections of environmental sustainability and human wellbeing in architecture.
