Eve Edelstein

Dr. Eve Edelstein’s unique background in neuro-architecture applies degrees and practice in anthropology, sensory neuroscience and clinical neurophysiology to inform planning and design. Eve’s clinical service at the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery, Queen's Square London, research at University College London, and the Harvard/MIT hearing science lab, along with work at the US Naval Medical Center provides insight to the breadth of users' needs in healthcare settings. With the Academy of Neuroscience for Architecture, the Salk Institute and Univ Calif San Diego, Eve used virtual visual and auditory simulations to test design. As director of the HxLab, and founder of Clinicians for Design, Eve works with clinicians, staff, patients and researchers to undertake original research, and translate findings, through visioning, planning, programming, schematic and design development. Bespoke and validated mixed methods use sensors. physiological, pre and post-occupancy evaluations to inform design to serve all peoples, across all scales.
