Edzard Schultz

Edzard Schultz is a principal architect and partner of Heinle, Wischer und Partner in Berlin.
He is also the representative of the partnership. Edzard studied architecture at the Technical University in Berlin and is engaged in teaching and research at various institutions such as the TU Berlin, Institute of Public Health and Clemson University.
He is member of the Association of Architects for Healthcare Architecture (AKG) and was appointed for the DIN 13080 (German Institute for Standardization) committee, which updates and revises the regulations and codes for hospitals and healthcare facilities in Germany.

His work encompasses a wide range of complex projects including masterplans, competition, construction and evaluation. He is especially interested in the structural and communicative synthesis of the work of architects. Among his projects are several University hospitals in Germany including Berlin, Munich, Essen, Tubingen, Ulm and Community Hospitals across Germany and worldwide, for example in Italy, Poland, Israel, India and Venezuela.
