Birgitte Ernst

Birgitte Gade Ernst is architect MAA, partner at Arkitema Architects and head of Arkitema Health Denmark. As such Birgitte is responsible of a large variety of healthcare projects, including the Healthcare Centre in Holstebro, that this summer won the Nohrcon Award “Danish Healthcare Building of the Year
2018”.

Through the years, Birgitte has worked with a wide range of primarily Danish hospital- and healthcare projects through which she has built a solid professional knowledge in both somatic and mental healthcare.
As a boardmember in FSTA, the Danish branch of IFHE, International Federation of Hospital Engineering, Birgitte works with a holistic approach to secure high standards in our hospitals.

Birgitte is committed to architectures potential to create spaces that support and enhance healing and well-being founded in Evidence Based Design, Healing architecture and Behavioral architecture. It is her declared goal, that architecture makes a difference for the people who live, work and dwell in it.
